Cras' ('Crai' und 'Crais' sind ebenfalls gebräuchlich) bezeichnet im Burgund eine steinige, kalkhaltige Erde auf Lehmboden. In der Appellation Vougeot (der auch das legendäre 'Clos de Vougeot' angehört) ist 'Cras' einer der 4 Premier Crus. Geringste Erträge bringen hier einen erstaunlich fruchtbetonten, hochkomplexen Wein hervor. Charmant, aber mit viel Tiefgang, dunkle, fleischige Frucht nach Weichsel und Schwarzkirsche und ein kraftvoller Abgang. Vougeot ist der etymologische Ursprung vom 'Domaine de la Vougeraie'
